Misty Spinney

Hi, I’m Misty—mother, ritualist, holistic beauty practitioner, and founder of Threshold Adornment.

I’ve always carried an inner rebel—the part of me that questioned what we were taught about beauty, success, and womanhood. From investment banking to editorial beauty, every path has led me back to one truth: presence, integrity, and alignment matter more than perfection.

Motherhood transformed me. It opened my heart to the full spectrum of life and deepened my devotion to living with awareness, humility, and care. The devotion to reclaiming my womb, my cycles, and my body’s innate wisdom brought me back into rhythm—and I carry that remembrance into every space I hold.

Beyond the surface.

As a former beauty editor for a leading women’s digital media platform, I reached millions—writing, producing, styling, and supporting both major launches and personal moments alike. Yet behind the scenes, I often questioned the industry’s shallow narratives and clickbait culture. I became a quiet advocate for clean beauty, wellness, and content that fosters genuine self-connection.

From industry to initiation.

What began as a profession became a practice. I immersed myself in the ritual and ceremonial arts, mysticism, ancestral beauty practices, and wellness traditions. There were moments I questioned whether to leave the industry altogether—until I realized: I wasn’t meant to leave it. I was meant to reshape it.

Threshold Adornment is the result.

A space where beauty returns to its origin as a ritual of remembrance. Here, health, wellness, and vitality form the foundation for true radiance and self-worth to emerge and evolve.

My work is rooted in reverence—for beauty, transformation, and the unseen parts of us that long to be witnessed. I create space for women to feel at home in their bodies, radiant in their truth, and seen in their becoming. I live for meaningful connection, wild landscapes, adventuring with my children, and morning coffee from my friend’s farm that smells like a love letter to the senses. Beauty, when rooted in presence and reclamation, can change everything.
